    李宗銘協理係國立清華大學化學工程博士,現任工業技術研究院資深副總暨協理,兼任材料與化工研究所所長、工研院南部產業創新策略辦公室主任及工研院淨零永續策略辦公室副主任。李協理專長領域為高分子奈米複合材料技術、電子與半導體光電關鍵材料技術、淨零永續關鍵製程與材料技術。

    Development of Low Carbon Emission Chemicals Technologies In ITRI
    促進永續發展:工研院低碳排放化學品技術發展

    Abstract:
    As the global community grapples with the realities of climate change, the concept of net-zero emissions has emerged as a critical goal for mitigating the worst impacts of global warming. Achieving net-zero emissions means balancing the amount of greenhouse gases emitted into the atmosphere with the amount removed or offset, leading to no net increase in atmospheric greenhouse gas concentrations. This ambitious goal requires a multifaceted approach, incorporating various strategies and technologies. Among these, renewable energy, carbon capture and utilization (CCU), biomass adopted as raw material, and plastics circulation play important roles in transitioning to a sustainable, low-carbon future. However, realizing the full potential of these technologies requires overcoming challenges related to cost, infrastructure, and sustainability. With the right policies and investments, on the materials side, CCU, biomass, and circulation can contribute to a sustainable and resilient future, helping to protect the planet for future generations.

    隨著國際社會應對氣候變遷,淨零排放已成為減緩全球暖化的關鍵。這一目標要求平衡大氣中的溫室氣體排放與消除或抵消量,避免濃度增加。再生能源、碳捕獲與再利用、生物質循環及塑膠循環在過渡至永續低碳未來中至關重要。要實現這些技術的潛力,需克服成本、基礎設施及永續性挑戰。在正確政策與投資下,這些技術可促進可持續且有彈性的未來,為子孫後代保護地球。
