    Presentation title:
Energy savings and reduction of CO2 emission by using Vinyl acetate Ethylene for Low Temperature Heating Mixture Asphalt.

    Abstract:
Currently, global warming is a serious climate change problem in many regions. Recently, low-temperature paving technologies in transportation sector are widely studied for its effect on reducing greenhouse gases and fine dust. However, these low temperature technologies decrease compaction of asphalt mixtures by increased viscosity of asphalt and then reduce the bond between the aggregates and the asphalt binder. Therefore, this tends to increase moisture susceptibility and the crack propagation distresses. In this matter, Polymer Modified Asphalt using SBS can improve physical properties. But it is difficult to apply to Warm Mix Asphalt and Low Temperature Asphalt due to their high viscosity. Vinyl Acetate Ethylene (VAE) has good adhesion and excellent compatibility to a wide range of substrates.
