    I holds a doctorate degree in applied surface chemistry from Tokyo University of Science in Japan. Within KURARAY, I have been in charge of R&D and TS(Tech service) of Polyvinyl Alcohol over 35-years and now I am a global head of Poval R&D TS.

    Abstract:
    Formaldehyde is extremely harmful to the environment and people, and regulations on its emission from adhesives and other materials are attracting worldwide attention. Kuraray offers special modified PVOH, a material based on innovative green technology that supports the development of “formaldehyde-free” environmentally friendly wood or paper adhesives for the global market.
